The Pens played without Evgeni Malkin, who was a full participant in the morning practice but was held out of the game with an undisclosed upper body injury. Emil Bemstrom replaced him in the lineup and Kevin hayes was elevated to center the second line.
After playing in Buffalo tomorrow night, the Pens return home Sunday to host Ottawa.
