The Pirates continue to make early-season roster moves. Yesterday, they sent utility man Ji Hwan Bae to Indianapolis and added newly-acquired outfielder Alexander Canario. They also traded catcher Jason Delay to Atlanta for cash considerations.
INDIANAPOLIS INDIANS (AAA)
Two of the Pirates’ top pitching prospects took the mound in an Indianapolis doubleheader yesterday. Bubba Chandler threw two-and-two-thirds scoreless innings of a 7-6 win over Iowa, striking out four and giving up only one hit, but talking four. Braxton Ashcraft gave up two runs on eight hits in five innings of work in a 6-1 loss in Game Two.
