Two fire companies were sent this morning for a brush fire in Brush Valley Township.
Indiana County 911 said the call went out at 10:13 AM for the brush fire on 2085 Round Top Road. Brush Valley and Homer City fire departments were sent to the scene. Crews said that the fire was due to a power line going down in the area. Firefighters had to wait for utility crews to arrive to safely approach the fire to put it out. The fire was knocked down within an hour.
No word on how much property was damaged. This marks the 65th brush fire call in Indiana County this year.
