The cleanup continues today from the powerful storms that came through Indiana County last night.
Indiana County 911 reported that over 280 calls for service were made between 5:30 PM and Midnight Tuesday night for wires down, debris on the road or other storm related calls. To put that in perspective, Indiana County 911 receives around 130 calls in a day. They also report that every fire company in Indiana County responded to at least one call during that time.
The National Weather Service out of Pittsburgh confirmed that the storm damage came from straight line winds that reached 80 miles an hour in some areas. If you have pictures of your storm, and it is safe to do so, please post them to our Facebook page.
First responders are also reminding people that there are some traffic lights that are still out completely. Any drivers approaching those intersections should treat it as an all-way stop.
