BASEBALL
In the hot Heritage Conference West baseball race, Homer-Center is 11-3 and has two games remaining, both against winless Marion Center tomorrow and Thursday. Tomorrow’s game will be on Renda Digital TV. West Shamokin is 9-3 with four games in five days this week. They’ll play River Valley today and Wednesday, then Conemaugh Township on Thursday and Cambria Heights on Friday.
In the East, Northern Cambria is 13-1 with two games left, both against Conemaugh Valley. Conemaugh Township is 11-2. They’ll play United today and tomorrow and West Shamokin on Thursday.
SOFTBALL
In the Heritage Conference West, West Shamokin is 10-1 and will play conference games against River Valley today and Wednesday and at Cambria Heights on Friday. Marion Center is 12-2 and will play Homer-Center tomorrow and again on Thursday.
In the East, Conemaugh Valley is 8-5 with games against United today and two more against Northern Cambria Thursday. Cambria Heights is also 8-5, with games against Portage today and Wednesday and West Shamokin on Friday.
The Heritage Conference championship games are next Monday. The District 6 baseball and softball championship tournaments begin May 15th.
