The four suspects in a February 14th robbery and shooting in Indiana were scheduled for their preliminary hearings today, but those hearings have been postponed to later dates.
The hearing for 23-year-old Nafis Harper has been rescheduled for May 27th. The hearings for 19-year-old Daron Reel Jr., 23-year-old Nafis Miles-Harper, and 20-year-olds Mamadi Saccoh and Samuel Wilson are all rescheduled for May 14th. Wilson is also scheduled for a preliminary hearing for a robbery February 4th in Delaware County.
The four men are accused of robbing the residents of a house at 835 Wayne Avenue, which they went to by accident, and then moving on to their intended target, 841 Wayne Avenue, where they robbed the residents there. At the first home, police said three men were hit over the head with gun handles. At the second home, police say Reel shot a man, with the bullet going through his chin and neck and lodging in his shoulder. He survived.
All of the suspects are from Philadelphia and all are facing the same charges: four counts of robbery (inflicting serious injury), four counts of conspiracy to the same offense, conspiracy to aggravated assault (deadly weapon), theft, receiving stolen property, and conspiracy to theft and receiving stolen property. Reel is also charged with attempted criminal homicide and two counts of aggravated assault.
The hearings next month are scheduled before District Judge Guy Haberl.
