Saturday was a busy day for some of Indiana County’s firefighters. The action started with a sawmill fire along Stephenson Road in West Mahoning Township shortly before 11 AM. Plumville and Marion Center were joined by firefighters from Perry Township in Jefferson County and Dayton and Rural Valley in Armstrong County. The fire was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported.
Homer City firefighters were dispatched for utility lines down along Route 119 South in Center Township at 12:19 PM.
Tunnelton firefighters were sent to a gas leak along Clarksburg Road in Conemaugh Township just before 3 PM.
Marion Center firefighters answered a call for a vehicle accident with injuries along Main Street in Marion Center at 6:34 PM.
And Creekside and Indiana firefighters were summoned for an accident on Chambersville Road in Rayne Township at 7:26 PM, with a landing zone for a medical helicopter set up shortly after.
