A Johnstown man was arrested Saturday by troopers from Indiana and Ebensburg’s barracks.
Troopers pulled over a vehicle at the intersection of Broad Street and 6th Avenue in Johnstown at 10:33 PM. When asked to get out, 42-year-old Jesse Moffitt tried to run away. Officers followed him and during the pursuit, one of the troopers deployed a taser to apprehend him. Police found illegal drugs and a loaded gun on his person. It was later discovered that he was not allowed to have a firearm.
Charges are pending in District Judge Brian Subich’s office.
