SOFTBALL
In the WPIAL Quad-A quarterfinals, Indiana’s game against Hampton was suspended due to rain yesterday and will resume today at noon at Norwin High School. It’s the bottom of the first and Indiana is down 2-0 with Hampton at bat.
District 6 softball playoffs begin today with four Class A games featuring Heritage Conference teams. Homer-Center hosts Glendale, Purchase Line will welcome Blacklick Valley, Penns Manor is at home against Northern Cambria, and Portage travels to Juniata Valley.
BASEBALL
First round Class A action today includes Purchase Line hosting Bishop Guilfoyle, Conemaugh Valley welcoming Harmony, and Portage at Claysburg-Kimmel.
The very competitive Triple-A bracket has West Shamokin hosting Richland.
TRACK & FIELD
Indiana’s Gracie Reed medaled yesterday at the WPIAL track & field championship meet. The freshman finished seventh in the 400 meters.
