The school year comes to an end for students in the Penns Manor School District on Monday, and for United and Purchase Line on Tuesday. That will officially put all of Indiana County’s districts in summer vacation. While the majority of the student bodies at Penns Manor and United still have some school left, their senior classes graduated last week. Commencement for seniors at Purchase Line will be held on Tuesday.
With the 2024-25 year coming to a close, preparations continue for the start of the new term, 2025-26. Indiana Area will hold a board meeting Monday evening, after its Buildings, Grounds, & Transportation also meets.
The board will deal with a number of agreements and arrangements for the coming of the new school year, including new starting and ending times for the school day at the elementary schools and five new vacancies among the faculty. There is a scheduled update on the Eisenhower project, and members are also expected to vote on acceptance of an anonymous donation worth $45,000 for the purchase of new football uniforms.
