Tuesday night, Indiana Borough Council tabled a motion concerning a change to HR policy concerning time off.
A motion from the Administration Committee would allow employees to donate vacation days to a common pool that others may draw on as needed in extenuating circumstances. Council member Kaycee Newell said that they tabled the motion as they are making adjustments on how the time should be donated.
She expects the policy change to be adopted at a work session later this month.
In other business, the council approved a resolution allowing the borough to reimburse the general fund with tax-exempt borrowings if the money is used to finance the solar project at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Council also approved awarding the 2025 paving project for the borough to Derry Construction at a cost of $284,235.
