Last night, Homer City Borough Council approved advertising an ordinance concerning paving in the borough.
This ordinance would make sure that utility companies that have to tear up roads to get to underground lines will bring those roads back to their prior condition or better. Borough Manager Robert Nymick said that there is a similar ordinance on the books.
The board also formed a committee to begin negotiations with the United Mine Workers of America over the police contracts.
