Criminal call hearings are on the schedule today at Indiana County’s Court of Common Pleas. Among them will be one for a man charged with sexual assault.
Court documents show that 39-year-old Shane Plummer will go before President Judge Thomas Bianco today in connection with a case that started in 2013 and ended in 2019. Authorities claim he had sexual contact with a girl who was five when the assaults started at a home in Brush Valley Township on as many as 20 occasions.
Also due in court today is 47-year-old Casey Bush of Greensburg. He faces charges of attempted arson and related crimes for the incident on September 12th of last year, when he allegedly tried to light a house in Saltsburg on fire. Crews discovered overturned fuel cans, spilled paint and cigarette butts. He was found later on with the same paint on his clothing.
Criminal Call is designed to update the court and the parties involved on the progress of a case. Proceedings are usually postponed to a later date, but on occasion, guilty pleas have been entered at the Criminal Call phase.
