With the 2024-25 school year now over and students enjoying the summer off, Indiana County’s school boards and administrations are already working on the 2025-26 academic year.
The Purchase Line school board on Monday will hold a work session with a number of agenda items dealing with the new term, including the proposed adoption of a final budget. Also up for consideration are the sports schedules, coaching hires, curriculum items, and service agreements for the upcoming school year. There are also motions for salary increases for non-union personnel and for sports officials. Like many school districts, Purchase Line’s board will not meet in July, so the June agenda is rather extensive.
United’s board will meet on Tuesday. At last week’s work session, the items forwarded to the voting meeting included a final budget and tax assessment plan, a proposal to replace the generator at the high school, and a number of service agreements for the upcoming school year.
Penns Manor’s school board meets on Wednesday. Homer-Center will hold a planning meeting on Thursday.
