Raymond “Ray” E. Fisher, 69, of Indiana, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday June 10, 2025 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born April 6, 1956 to Chester J. Fisher in Kittanning.
Ray was Methodist by faith. He worked for R&P Coal Company for many years.
He is survived by two sons Andrew E. Fisher and wife Megan, Homer City, and Matthew J. Fisher (Amy Hale), Greenville, NC, three grandsons, Owen, Drew and Brody, three brothers and two sisters, Fred, Bob and Burt Fisher, Susan Smith and Kim Barnett, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Gloria Jean Fisher in 2022, a brother, Chester “Skeets” Fisher
Ray was a dedicated grandfather, who loved watching his grandsons play sports, along with hearing about all of their endeavors. He also enjoyed watching motor sports and wrestling. Ray enjoyed fishing and hunting with his boys. One of his most favorite past times were the car rides with his beloved wife Gloria and dogs.
A Special thank you to the nursing staff at Allegheny General Hospital on 6C, especially Alison Gebrosky for going above and beyond in her care of Ray, along with helping the family navigate his short stay.
Family and Friends will be received on Sunday from 5-8 PM and also on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
Interment will take place at St. Bernard Cemetery.
