The Pittsburgh Penguins officially announced the addition of former player Nick Bonino to their coaching staff. He brings championship caliber to the staff as he was one of the keys to the Penguins Stanley Cup victories in 2016 and 2017 on the HBK line.
Also joining the staff is Todd Nelson and Rich Clune. Andy Chiodo remains on staff as the team’s goaltending coach. Video coach Maddison Nikkel remains on staff, and will be joined by Troy Paquette. Nelson spent the last three years with the Hershey Bears, helping them win back-to-back Calder Cup trophies in 2023 and ’24, while Clune was an assistant with the Anaheim Ducks last season, and was an assistant coach with the Tornto Maple Leafs minor league team, the Marleys, in 2023 and ’24.
