The White Township Supervisors met this evening, and offered an update to the roof replacement project.
The roof of the White Township Building was severely damaged in a hail storm that came through the area in early May, causing leaks. An inspection was needed before any bids were made. Township manager Chris Anderson said that not only was there damage to the roof of the main building, but the inspection turned up damage to the salt shed as well.
The township should receive the official inspection report sometime next week. After that, a bid for a contract will be made. Anderson anticipates it to be a quick project, with no disruption to office business hours.
Other business included looking into grants and putting a street sweeper up for auction. The supervisors will meet again on July 9th.
