The Pennsylvania Treasury is urging residents to check their mail as it works to return $5 billion in unclaimed property.
In the latest round, $9.2 million was automatically sent to 40,000 people with lost paychecks, forgotten bank accounts, and other assets.
Treasurer Stacy Garrity says the Pennsylvania Money Match program cuts red tape and ensures residents receive real money from a real government effort. It currently covers up to $500 per person, with lawmakers pushing to raise the limit to $10,000.
