The U.S. Senate is blocking a resolution that would limit President Trump’s war powers.
GOP senators voted on Friday to reject a measure that would’ve stopped Trump from taking military action against Iran without receiving authorization from Congress. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky was the only Republican lawmaker to support the resolution, while Democrat John Fetterman of Pennsylvania voted with Republicans against it.
