Saturday turned into an active day for Indiana County’s first responders as severe weather moved into the area. One of the incidents was a vehicle crash with injuries on Route 85 at Five Points Road in Washington Township at 3:34 PM. Marion Center and Plumville firefighters responded. Police have not yet issued a report.
Commodore firefighters were dispatched for utility lines down on Churchill Road in Montgomery Township, and later for lines down on Cypress Road in Green Township. They’d earlier been sent to a miscellaneous call along Larch Road in Green Township. Cherry Tree firefighters answered a call for lines down on Summertime Drive in Montgomery Township. Glen Campbell firefighters were dispatched for a tree down on Glenwood Avenue in Glen Campbell. Dayton firefighters were sent for a pumping detail along the Dayton-Smicksburg Road in West Mahoning Township.
Indiana firefighters were summoned for an automatic fire alarm on South Ben Franklin Road, a physical rescue on School Street, a vehicle fire on the Route 119 North Bypass, and a gas leak on South Ben Franklin Road.
