The Pennsylvania Game Commission would like to remind all area hunters that hunting and furtaking licenses go on sale this Monday, June 22.
The cost for general hunting and furtaking licenses will remain at $20.90 for Pennsylvania residents and $101.90 for non-Pennsylvania residents. In addition, senior hunters have multiple options to choose from when purchasing their license this year.
They have the option of purchasing a one-year option for $13.90, or lifetime licenses for $51.90. In addition, they also have the option of purchasing a “lifetime combination license” for $101.90, which grants them both hunting and furtaking privileges.
The Game Commission wants to remind senior hunters that they must purchase bear licenses if they wish to pursue bruins and they must obtain permits for harvesting bobcats, fishers and river otters. Antlerless deer licenses for 2020-2021 go on sale on July 13, and a call for the purchase of extra tags is set for August 17. Elk tags are available and the deadline for those is July 31.
A complete list of licensing requirements can be found on the Game Commission’s website, at pgc.pa.gov.
