A woman charged with resisting Indiana County Sheriffs is due today for a preliminary hearing.
Indiana County Sheriffs charged 28-year-old Eilzabeth Stauffer of Blairsville with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for an incident on April 10th of this year. Deputies were called out to 850 Pine Street in Indiana and found Stauffer, serving her with a Protection From Abuse order. She refused to leave the building she was being evicted from and disregarded several warnings before deputies tried to place her under arrest. She resisted and became disorderly during the incident.
Stauffer is due for her preliminary hearing this afternoon in front of District Judge Susanne Steffee.
Also due today in district court is Charles Marti Waller Jr., a 44-year-old man from Indiana, who is charged with felony strangulation, misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment for an incident on June 18th of this year.
