Tuesday night, Homer City Borough Council approved an ordinance concerning paving.
The new ordinance, according to borough manager Robert Nymick, will add some teeth to the ordinance when work is done and roads are torn up.
Tuesday night also marked the final meeting for borough manager Rob Nymick as he is retiring after serving the borough as manager for over 20 years. He said that he has enjoyed his time as manager, saying he feels that it’s the proper time.
While Nymick is stepping away from the day-to-day operation, he will still work with the water authority and on borough projects as needed. Council president Joe Izzei, Sr. said they are continuing to look for someone to take over the duties Nymick is stepping away from.
