One person was taken into custody in connection with a crash this morning on Oakland Avenue in White Township.
The crash was reported by Indiana County 911 at 11:45 this morning in the 2200 block of Oakland. An SUV was pulling out from McKnight Road and pulled into the path of another vehicle heading North on Oakland. The two vehicles collided nearly head-on, and both took on severe front-end damage.
One of the drivers was arrested, but state police have not announced the charges against the individual. Four others were taken to IRMC for possible minor injuries.
State Police and Indiana Fire Association’s Rescue Squad were on the scene for about an hour investigating and clearing the scene. Traffic had to be re-routed as both lanes of Oakland Avenue were closed.
