What happens when the USPS can’t decipher an address?

When an address is not legible, mail distribution centers around the country capture images of the hard-to-read addresses and electronically send them to the U.S. Postal Service Remote Encoding Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ian Lee reports.

Raising Property Taxes

For a variety of reasons, many school districts are raising property taxes this year.  What’s to blame?

Inflation overall. Everything is more expensive, including running schools.
The state does not provide enough funds to local districts, especially those with low property values.
Charter school funding. I am already paying for my local district, but now I am paying for charter schools, too.
The cost of personnel. Wages, health insurance, pensions, and more are all going up.
School districts are not spending their resources wisely.
The whole school funding system in Pennsylvania is wrong. The system is broken.
