Vera M. (Negley) Mock, 105 of Clymer, PA., passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was the daughter of Homer C. and Anna Mae (Pierce) Negley, born November 26, 1919, in Tarentum, PA.
Vera loved spending time with her family, growing up, her and three of her sisters were known as the Negley Calvary Singers on WDAD radio on Saturday mornings. They also sang at funerals; she attended the Saltsburg Baptist Church in her younger days. As an adult, she attended the Calvary Evangelical Church. She sang in the choir, different trio’s, Deaconess, taught Sunday school, junior church and after school Good News Club, in various homes around Eisenhower School in Indiana. She played guitar and gave lessons, wrote over 30 editorials for the Indiana Gazette. Vera enjoyed playing lawn dart, cornhole toss. She was quick-witted and always made you feel loved and special. Vera’s beloved pet, Finn will miss her greatly. She was the eldest daughter.
She is survived by three children, Robert Mock of Plumville, Beverly (Mock) Zajdel of Clymer, Debbie (Mock) Primm and husband Jim of Indiana, two sisters, Jean Zucchelli and husband Ron of FL, Betty Johnson of Saltsburg, four grandchildren, Jamie (Casey) Mock of NC, Misty (Tom) Torrell of NuMine, Courtney Zajdel and fiancé Jake Head of Greensburg, Zachary Zajdel of TX, two great-grandchildren, Daphne and Grahm Torrell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Vera was preceded in death by her Parents, her husband, Harry Franklin Mock, daughter-in-law, Bonita, (Johnston) Mock, brothers, Mansel, Melvin, Merle, Sisters, Mildred, Dorothy, Louella, Doris.
All services will be private for the family, the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St. Clymer is assisting the Mock family.
