Defenseman Brady Peddle, the Penguins third round draft choice last month, has signed to play junior hockey with Charlottetown of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League for the upcoming season.
The 18-year-old has committed to Michigan State to play college hockey in ’26-27. The Penguins can retain his rights until August 15th of 2030.
Five top Penguins prospects are skating in the World Junior Summer Showcase, which is going on right now in Minneapolis. They include this year’s top draft pick Benjamin Kindel and Harrison Brunicke on Team Canada, Will Horcoff and Mac Swanson on Team USA, and Melvin Fernstrom playing for Team Sweden.
The tournament began yesterday.
