Elaine Marsha (Bash) Mack, 81, of Plumville, passed away peacefully at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh on Saturday, August 9, 2025. Born in Ravenna, OH, October 18, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Marsh) Bash. She was the widow of James Clair Mack, Sr., who died November 2, 2018. They married May 18, 1962 and celebrated a marital span of 56 years. She was a graduate of Penns Manor High School. For many years she worked at Gorell Industries in Indiana. Elaine retired in June 2012 when the Gorell plant closed.
She loved working outside, landscaping, gardening and cutting her four and a half acres of grass. She also enjoyed crocheting. Elaine’s favorite times were when she was with her grandchildren. She had most recently been attending services at the Hilltop Baptist Church.
Elaine is remembered by her children: James C. Mack, Jr. (Jamie), Homer City; Joyce R. Piper (David), Indiana and Janice L. Stiffler (Tim), Clymer. Dearly missed by her beloved grandchildren: Brent Kensey (Colleen); Lauren Kensey- Brown (David); Andrea Crumrine (Luke); Tyler Stiffler; Amanda Stiffler; Luke Piper (Elise) and Andrew Piper. Her great grandchildren are: Alaina and Alivia Twigg; Lilly and Case Crumrine; Chloe and Elodie Piper. She is also remembered by her brother, Wayne Bash (Sonya), Glen Campbell and by her many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her great grandson, Carson James Crumrine and her brother, Duane Bash.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until Noon, the time of her funeral service, on Wednesday, August 13th at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral Home & Crematory, Indiana. Pastor Steve Rearick will officiate. Interment will follow at the Oakland Cemetery, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with Elaine’s final expenses.
