Monday night was a busy one for Indiana County’s first responders.
Two of the incidents reported by Indiana County 911 were vehicle fires. The first was on Route 22 East in West Wheatfield Township at 8:40 PM. Clyde fire department and the state police were dispatched first, and the Armagh/East Wheatfield was called to assist a few minutes later. The other vehicle fire was reported at 10:39 PM on Malloy Hollow Road in Pine Township. The Pine Township and Cherryhill Township fire departments were dispatched at the time.
A vehicle crash was reported was reported on Route 22 in Burrell Township at 7:09 PM. Initial reports say the crash was on the eastbound side of the road. A portion of 22 was closed as crews cleaned the scene and investigated the crash.
Finally, Tunnelton, Saltsburg and Iselin/West Lebanon fire departments were sent to Westmoreland County in the 7:00 hour to help with a search detail along Pumphouse Road.
