Coach Mike Tomlin called the final practice of training camp at St. Vincent College “spirited” and Aaron Rodgers talked about how much he enjoyed Latrobe as the team prepared to move to its home base at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex in Pittsburgh to get ready for Saturday’s preseason game against Tampa Bay.
Jalen Ramsey returned to practice for the first time in a week but there were no other injury updates, with Tomlin saying all the status of all other injured players was unchanged. Rodgers was stepped on by a teammate but did not miss any reps.
Rodgers says he’s looking forward to seeing Tampa Bay challenge the Steelers’ offense.
Rodgershas enjoyed his time getting to know his teammates and Steelers fans at St. Vincent.
Tomlin says there’s great value to the Steelers in going to St. Vincent.
Tomlin has been pleased with the play of his offensive line, but says there is much work to do before the season starts. He especially likes what he’s seen from his two young tackles.
The Steelers and Buccaneers will hold a joint practice tomorrow in Pittsburgh.
