Indiana Borough police continue to investigate a collision involving a pedestrian in Indiana Borough yesterday afternoon.
Police say in a news release that officers were sent at 4:11 PM to the intersection of Water and North 7th Street as a person was hit by a small-sized truck as it was headed south. No additional details are available. Indiana County Sheriff’s Department and Citizens Ambulance assisted on-scene.
Chief Justin Schawl is urging pedestrians and motorists to use caution, saying that drivers should never assume those walking see them, and walkers should never assume the driver always see them. He advises people to take their time, look in all directions, avoid distractions and to travel slowly and safely.
