A Penn Run man faces charges of criminal trespass and obstructing police after an incident at the Rose Haven facility.
State Troopers filed charges yesterday against 37-year-old Christopher Scott Brady for the incident on April 13th. At the time, he was wanted on an involuntary mental health commitment warrant. Brady, an employee at Rose Haven, was present at 7:30 in the morning, but had no reason to be there until at least 9:00 AM when his shift started. Troopers discovered that he had unlawfully entered the building by pulling on the front doors, and he hid from troopers as he saw their arrival from a second story window. He also attempted to unplug security cameras on that floor. He was eventually found on the third floor in an elevator shaft locked from the inside. Officers took the door off its hinges and took him into custody without further incident.
Charges were filed with District Judge Susanne Steffee’s office. He is in Indiana County Jail on $50,000 cash bail, with a preliminary hearing set for August 26th.
