THREE CHARGED WITH DISORDERLY CONDUCT IN ROSSITER

Three people from Rossiter face charges connected with a disturbance on Wednesday in Canoe Township.

State Police say the three people, identified only as two 51-year-old women and a 65-year-old man, were involved in an altercation on Clinton Street on August 13th at 12:30 PM.  The three were cited for disorderly conduct.

Raising Property Taxes

For a variety of reasons, many school districts are raising property taxes this year.  What’s to blame?

Inflation overall. Everything is more expensive, including running schools.
The state does not provide enough funds to local districts, especially those with low property values.
Charter school funding. I am already paying for my local district, but now I am paying for charter schools, too.
The cost of personnel. Wages, health insurance, pensions, and more are all going up.
School districts are not spending their resources wisely.
The whole school funding system in Pennsylvania is wrong. The system is broken.
