Tampa Bay’s Teddy Bridgewater threw two touchdown passes and Chase McLaughlin kicked a 42-yard field goal on the last play of the game as the Buccaneers beat the Steelers, 17-14 at Acrisure Stadium.
The winning field goal was set up by an interception of backup Steelers quarterback Logan Woodside. The Bucs’ first touchdown was set up by an interception of Mason Rudolph and the Steelers also gave Tampa Bay a gift by roughing the kicker on a field goal, allowing them to score another TD.
Steelers’ linebacker Nick Herbig left the game with a hamstring injury but coach Mike Tomlin said afterward that Herbig was okay. Long snapper Christian Kuntz suffered a chest injury in the game and offensive lineman Gareth Warren was evaluated for a concussion.
The Steelers wrap up the preseason with a game on Thursday at Carolina.
