Two people were hurt in a crash on Route 119 in North Mahoning Township yesterday.
State police say the crash happened at 7:48 in the morning as an SUV driven by 38-year-old Elizabeth Roach of Rochester Mills was trying to go through a right curve on Route 119 North while another SUV driven by Tabatha Spence of Marienville and a commercial truck driven by Rylan McDonald of Punxsutawney were going South. Roach was distracted when she crossed the center line and hit the driver’s side of Spence’s SUV, sending a piece of Roach’s vehicle into the windshield of the truck. Roach came to a stop on the right-hand shoulder while Spence’s vehicle spun out in the northbound lane. The truck pulled over on a straightaway after the curve.
Roach and Spence had suspected minor injuries. While Roach refused treatment, Jefferson County EMS took Spence to Punxsutawney Area Hospital for treatment. McDonald was not hurt. Both SUV’s had to be towed.
