Four years ago, a fire destroyed two modular classrooms at Eisenhower Elementary School, and smoke and water damaged the main building, rendering it unsafe for students. Tonight, the community will get a chance to look at the newly-rebuilt school at an open house.
In an interview on Indiana in the Morning, Superintendent Rob Heinrich compared the new school building to the Phoenix rising from the ashes.
The new facility will feature upgraded classrooms and amenities for students, and Heinrich said that the new building will be able to hold more students than before.
The Open House will be from 5-7 tonight.
