BOYS GOLF
A thriller on the golf course at Chestnut Ridge yesterday, as Homer-Center edged River Valley by just five strokes (214-219). The Wildcats’ Brayden Rado shot a 39 to lead the way, offsetting the Panthers’ Jake Pynos and Jeremy Reed, who shared medalist honors at even par 36. For Homer-Center, Ty Steffey shot a 42, Jordy Arone a 43, Aiden Darr a 44, Reece Coy 46, and Noah Todd 48. River Valley’s Brady Doak shot 41, but no other Panthers golfers were in the forties.
At Manor Valley, Indiana downed Penn Trafford in a key section match, topping the Warriors by eleven strokes. Five Indiana golfers shot in the thirties, led by Drew Brocious, who fired an even par 36 to earn medalist honors for the second straight day. Right behind him was Austin Schawl at 37, Chace Force at 38, and Ryan Bell and Will Steve, both at 39. Beau Raykes added a 41.
GIRLS GOLF
River Valley’s girls are 5-0 after knocking off Ligonier Valley by thirteen strokes at Ligonier Country Club. Ashley Pynos shot a 52 to lead the way. Maren Dunlap shot 53, Madigan Dunlap 54, and Alessia LaMantia 56.
