School started for most of Indiana County’s students last week, with the final two districts set to open in the next two days. United gets its buses rolling on Monday and Indiana Area opens classes on Tuesday. The Indiana County Technology Center also begins its school year on Monday.
The Indiana Area school board is scheduled to meet Monday night, preceded by the board’s Policy & Personnel and Audit & Finance committees. Among the items slated for action are a number of personnel issues, including the resignation and assignment of some of the duties of board vice president Sue Rieg, an Eisenhower Elementary update, change orders for the Senior High classroom project, and the appointment of a representative firm to speak for the district in the charter school reform conflict.
