Mike Tomlin will hold his weekly media session today, breaking down the Steelers’ loss to Seattle and looking ahead to this Sunday’s game at New England. He will have an update on his banged-up defense, which had as many as seven starters injured and off the field on Sunday, counting rookie defensive lineman Derrick Harmon, the first round draft choice who hasn’t suited up since training camp.
Tomlin is looking for ways to get his running game going. Starter Jaylen Warren has been bottled up in the first two games, with no running room created by the offensive line. Warren says the rushing attack has to get moving to take the pressure off the passing game.
Among the Steelers’ wounded defensive corps is edge rusher Alex Highsmith, who suffered a high ankle sprain on Sunday. Nick Herbig and rookie Jack Sawyer took over for Highsmith.
Sawyer says playing against the big NFL offensive tackles is not easy.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that a team source told him the Steelers do not expect to have to place Highsmith on injured reserve.

ESPN reports Bengals’ quarterback Joe Burrow will miss a “minimum” of three months with a turf toe injury that will require surgery. Burrow got hurt Sunday against the Jaguars when he was sacked in the second quarter.
