PennDOT has announced more work in the overnight hours at the future site of a pedestrian and bike bridge near Blairsville.
There will be intermittent lane closures on both directions of Route 22 around the bridge from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM over the next two nights. Work got underway on this part of the project last night. The closures are needed to accommodate overhead work. All work is weather permitting and motorists are advised to drive with caution through the work zone.
Contractor Merlo, Inc. of Mineral Point, PA is handling the work. The $4.7-million project is expected to wrap up by mid-June of next year.
