A Mahaffey woman was cited after a two-vehicle crash caused by chickens crossing the road in Indiana County last week.
State Police in Punxsutawney said the crash happened at 4:51 p.m. on September 11 along Glenwood Avenue in Glen Campbell Borough. According to authorities, a 16-year-old girl from Glen Campbell slowed her 2016 Mitsubishi to a stop for chickens in the roadway when her vehicle was struck from behind by a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Tina L. Verdill, 57, of Mahaffey.
No injuries were reported. The Chevy sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Verdill was cited for following too closely.
