One person was hurt in a one-vehicle crash last Friday in South Mahoning Township.
State police say this happened on Route 85 south of Hilltop Drive southeast of Plumville. The driver, identified only as a 32-year-old man from Rural Valley, was going North on Five Points Road when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a telephone pole on the west side of the road. He continued on, turning left onto 85 and losing control again, this time hitting a mailbox and an embankment on the East side of the road before overturning and landing in someone’s yard. Police found multiple alcoholic beverages at the location of the first crash.
The driver had minor injuries but refused treatment. He was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI.
