The average cost of a gallon of gas in Pennsylvania continues to go down.
According to Triple-A, the average cost of a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline is now $2.48. That’s only a penny less than where it was a week ago, four cents lower than a month ago and 27 cents lower than where it was last year at this time.
The national average did go up a penny to $2.19 a gallon. The Energy Information Administration says that there was a slight increase in demand across the United States. Over the last week, demand went up 10,000 barrels a day. Experts are still expecting gas prices to continue to fall as the fall season continues to become more prevalent and drivers take fewer road trips.
The Indiana County gas price average is now $2.55 a gallon. Gas prices in Indiana Borough and White Township are differing a bit this morning, with gas prices in Indiana Borough hovering around the $2.49 a gallon mark, while gas prices in White Township are reportedly ten cents higher. Gas Prices in the Homer City and Blairsville areas are at the county-wide average of $2.55 a gallon, while gas prices in Clymer are at $2.59 a gallon.
Both Westmoreland and Jefferson Counties have gas price averages of $2.50 a gallon. Armstrong County’s average is at $2.54 a gallon. Clearfield County has a $2.57 per gallon average, while Cambria County’s average is at $2.59 a gallon.
