Indiana swept Franklin Regional 3-0, dominating by scores of 25-14, 25-18, and 25-12. Paige Fisanich had 12 kills and 3 aces. Gianna Boyer had 7 kills and 3 blocks. Rylin Blystone had 5 digs and 3 aces. Hannah Stone had 20 assists and Chloe Hain added 8. Indiana is 7-1 in the section and travels to Derry Thursday.
Marion Center improved to 9-3, 9-2 in the Heritage Conference with a 3-2 nail-biter over Conemaugh Valley (MC lost the first set, 25-21, won the next two, 25-21 and 25-16, then lost the fourth, 25-20 before winning the fifth set, 15-11.) Alivia Ruddock had 20 kills, 22 digs, and 4 aces; Natalie Black had 19 kills, 5 digs, and 1 block; Kieler Elkin: 10 kills, 5 digs, 3 aces; Emma Zamborsky:41 assists, 2 digs, 2 aces; Hannah Runk: 8 digs, 1 ace; Parker Blews: 8 digs, 2 aces; Reagan Mantini: 3 kills, 2 digs, 2 aces. Cambria Heights topped River Valley 3-1, winning the first, second, and fourth sets (25-18, 28-26, 19-25, and 25-20.) River Valley’s scoring was led by Scarlett Skirboll with 10 kills and 23 digs, while Gianna Cornman tallied 7 kills and 5 blocks. Izabella Speal added 4 kills and 2 blocks, and libero Bella Prenni recorded 25 digs. River Valley won the JV match, 2-0.
Northern Cambria locked up with Penns Manor in another five-setter, taking the first and third sets by identical scores of 25-21 and the deciding fifth set 15-9. NC took the second and fourth sets by scores of 25-23 and 25-22.
