From the US National Weather Service
High pressure will maintain dry weather across the region through the weekend. Temperatures will average above seasonable levels. Rain chances return Tuesday into Wednesday, with a 69 percent chance on Tuesday – mainly late day/evening – and a 51 percent chance early Wednesday.
You may remember we were experiencing a drought about this time in 2024 also. Take a look at this slide for a comparison between this year’s drought and last year’s.
A few other interesting observations:
September 2025 tied for the 12th-fewest days in the month of September with measurable precipitation at PIT airport.
87% of the rainfall at PIT fell in the span of four days (Sep 22-26).
If it weren’t for that four-day stretch, it would have been the 2nd-driest September on record!
