Neko Case’s music career started with drumming in punk bands as a teen, but her powerhouse vocals and songwriting soon took center stage. She launched her solo career in 1997 and remains a distinctive voice in American music, recently releasing “Neon Grey Midnight Green,” her ninth full-length studio album.
