Jury selection is scheduled to start today for a man charged with arson in September of last year.
Court documents show 47-year-old Casey Bush of Saltsburg faces two counts each of attempted arson and possession of explosive or incendiary material along with attempted reckless burning or exploding, risking a catastrophe, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment, burglary, disorderly conduct and driving an unregistered vehicle in connection with the incident on September 12th, 2024.
State Police were called out to a home in the 700 block of Salt Street for a disturbance involving Bush at his former home. When troopers arrived, they found suspected diesel fuel and paint spilled all over the floors and several burnt and discarded cigarettes. HAZMAT teams were called in to clean the scene, and officers found Bush later in the day in Loyalhanna Township, with paint on his clothes matching the paint spilled in the house.
He has been free since October of last year after posting $100,000 bond.
