Indiana Borough Police Chief Justin Schawl is committed to doing what’s needed to prevent another fatal crash like the one on Monday that claimed two lives in Downtown Indiana.
In an interview on Indiana in the Morning on Tuesday, Schawl called the crash involving two pedestrians and an IndiGo bus at 7th and Philadelphia Street Monday afternoon a tragedy.
He said that much like the investigation into the fatal crash in March at 9th and Philadelphia Street, this one will be thorough to prevent false information going around.
Schawl suggested that people try to be distraction free when driving or walking in Indiana Borough and to talk with your family and friends about the issue.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
