Even though we have seen some rain over the last few weeks, it has not been enough to restore water supplies. To that end, the Blairsville Municipal Authority has issued a mandatory water conservation notice.
Effective immediately, residents are asked to refrain from washing their vehicles and to stop any non-essential outdoor water use. People are also asked to turn off the tap when brushing their teeth, check for and promptly repair any plumbing or fixture leaks, and to run dishwashers and laundry machines only when you have a full load.
Most of the service area of the Indiana County Municipal Services Authority and the Central Indiana County Water Authority are still under voluntary conservation requests.
