Two people from Allegheny County are facing charges of criminal trespassing for an incident in Indiana Borough early Friday morning.
Indiana Borough Police said at 2:05 in the morning, officers were sent to an off-campus multi-resident property in the 200 block of Rice Avenue for a reported disturbance, and found a group of college-aged people gathered outside while two men were trying to force their way into the building. Punches were thrown in the incident and one of the men reportedly displayed a handgun while making threats. One of the suspects was seen nearby and fled the scene. A bb gun that resembled a handgun was near where one of the suspects was.
The two suspects, 20-year-old Jacob Gallagher-Luterman of Allison Park and 21-year-old Matthew Balzer of Etna, were eventually taken into custody. Both face charges of simple assault, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. Gallagher-Luterman faces additional charges of terroristic threats, possessing instruments of crime and underage drinking, while Balzer is also charged with evading arrest or detention on foot. Both are free on $10,000 and $5,000 bail respectively but are due back in court on November 3rd for preliminary hearings.
